My Jeep Wrangler has been making this weird squealing sound whenever I brake and at first I thought it was just dust or something stuck in there. But it has been going on for almost two weeks now and yesterday the sound changed to a grinding noise which I know is not a good sign. I called the dealer and they quoted me a price that honestly made me laugh because it was way more than I expected for just brake pads. A friend told me there are independent workshops and even mobile services that specialise in Jeep brake pad replacement in Dubai and charge much less than the dealer. I have never used anything like that before so I am not sure what to look for. How do I know if they are using genuine Mopar pads or just some cheap aftermarket ones? Does it even matter for a Jeep because I do take it off road sometimes and I need brakes that can handle that. Also is it better to go to a workshop or can a mobile guy do it properly in my parking? I stay in Mirdif and my building has decent space so mobile would be convenient. If anyone here has a Jeep and got their brakes done recently please share where you went and what you paid. I just want this sorted without getting ripped off or ending up with brakes that fail when I need them most check here
